Help is always welcome
Being a volunteer for the Bereavement Trust can be highly rewarding. Although we cannot resolve the caller’s problems, we can help to relieve their distress and be the ‘safety valve’ they need, often helping the caller to explore new ways of moving forward.
How the Helpline works
Thanks to the miracle of technology, we work from the comfort of our own homes. The Helpline is switched to the duty volunteer’s landline or mobile telephone, which makes volunteering ideal for those who are visually or physically challenged.
We usually ask for a commitment of two evenings each month to suit your circumstances and we provide you with full introductory and on-going training.
